Programs

 

As a full-service organization, the California Metals Coalition (CMC) offers numerous programs as an enhanced benefit to individual members.

 

These programs include, but are not limited to:

• Monthly Newsletter:  Since 1976, CMC has published a monthly industry newsletter providing information and insight on the local, regional and state issues impacting metal companies.

• Cal-OSHA Compliance Program: This program targets all facets of Cal/OSHA requirements, including documentation, training, inspections, consultation and defense—when citations are involved.

• Human Resources Program: Members receive training seminars and compliance opportunities for their employees.

 

 

 

• Safety Training DVDs: From respirators and eye protection, to hazard communication and grinders, members have access to CMC's full library of training videos.

• Insurance Solutions:  CMC continues to pursue solutions to the ongoing challenge of insurance for metal companies.  Leaders of CMC's program, Metals Insurance Partnership, bring together over $14M in metals industry premiums (workers' comp).

• Freight Buying Group:  Reduce your freight bill without changing your practices by joining our freight buying group.  This program provides solutions for expedited, LTL, and TL shipments.

• Quarterly Regional Roundtables:  CMC holds quarterly roundtables in both Northern and Southern California to discuss the state-of-the-industry, hot topics and provide networking opportunities.

• Company-Specific Assistance:  When your company-specific issue arises, CMC maintains lobbyists, government relations experts, and endorsed legal and technical consultants to provide members with individualized support.
